MIGHTY OAK LIGHT – lightweight hybrid rooftop tent for two people
The MIGHTY OAK LIGHT combines the quick opening of a hard-shell rooftop tent with the space of a folding rooftop tent. The low-profile, robust hard shell and low weight support a compact solution for trips involving frequent changes of location. The model is available in grey and earthy-yellow.
Comfortable sleeping area
The 140 × 195 cm sleeping area accommodates up to two people. When open, the rooftop tent reaches a maximum interior height of approximately 110 cm. The external dimensions are approximately 210 × 165 cm when open and 165 × 126 × 28.7 cm when closed. Bedding cannot remain inside the closed rooftop tent during travel.
Approximately 69 kg without the ladder
The MIGHTY OAK LIGHT weighs approximately 69 kg without the ladder. The detachable black aluminium ladder extends to approximately 230 cm and has a maximum load capacity of 150 kg. It is transported separately inside the vehicle during travel. The additionally required vehicle crossbars must also be considered when checking the dynamic roof load.
Assisted opening with STABILUS gas struts
The four buckles on the underside are released to set up the tent. STABILUS gas struts then assist in opening the body. This keeps operation straightforward, even on taller vehicles. Lockable buckles secure the closed rooftop tent during travel.
Memory foam mattress and LED lighting
The 6 cm thick memory foam mattress with a water-repellent cover provides a comfortable sleeping surface. Two dimmable LED light strips with USB connections provide illumination: one is located inside the tent and the other in the covered entrance area.
Generous windows and one roof window bring light and fresh air into the tent. Fine-mesh mosquito nets on all openings keep insects outside without unnecessarily restricting air circulation.
Low-profile hard shell with Line-X® coating
The hard shell is made from high-quality ABS and features a robust, matt Line-X® coating with VICKYWOOD branding. The coating protects the shell and provides a durable surface. The low-profile design reduces the height of the closed rooftop tent.
The recycled ripstop polyester fabric provides a 5,000 mm water column and UV 50+. A lightweight aluminium floor panel with a honeycomb structure forms the stable base of the sleeping area.
Storage for personal items
Two large shoe storage bags are positioned on either side of the tent entrance. Additional storage nets and storage solutions on the base panel provide dedicated places for smaller items and keep them within easy reach.
Mounting and vehicle requirements
Two suitable vehicle crossbars are recommended for mounting. The spacing between the mounting rails on the tent base is approximately 71 cm. A minimum distance of approximately 75.5 cm is required between the plastic feet of the crossbars across the width of the vehicle roof. The vehicle’s permitted dynamic roof load and the load capacity of the crossbars must be checked before mounting.
Compatible extensions
The MIGHTY OAK LIGHT can optionally be extended with a compatible annex, thermal inner tent or 3D mesh mattress underlay. A telescopic ladder extending to 260 cm is also available for taller vehicles. Accessories must be selected to match the MIGHTY OAK LIGHT 165.
