CUMARU EASE 135 in grey – modern triangular rooftop tent with a low-profile hard shell
The CUMARU EASE 135 in grey is the lighter, modernised evolution of the CUMARU ECO. The hard-shell rooftop tent combines a low-profile aluminium shell with semi-automatic opening, adjustable sleeping comfort and practical interior equipment. It accommodates up to two people.
Sleeping space for up to two people
The sleeping area measures 130 × 200 cm and provides a comfortable retreat for two people. Thanks to its triangular construction, the rooftop tent reaches a maximum interior height of approximately 145 cm. When closed, the shell, including mounting rails and excluding the roof rack system, measures approximately 140 × 215 × 15.5 cm. Bedding cannot remain inside the closed rooftop tent during travel.
Approximately 69 kg without the ladder
Without the detachable ladder, the CUMARU EASE 135 weighs approximately 69 kg; with the ladder, it weighs approximately 75 kg. The mattress is included in these figures. The roof rack system for the upper shell is excluded and adds approximately 5 kg when installed. The additionally required vehicle crossbars must also be considered when checking the dynamic roof load.
Semi-automatic opening with STABILUS gas struts
STABILUS gas struts assist the opening of the triangular hard shell. This keeps setup straightforward and makes the rooftop tent suitable for trips involving frequent changes of location. A lockable buckle system secures the closed rooftop tent during travel.
Detachable side windows and roof window
The side windows can be completely removed using zips. This brings additional light and fresh air into the interior while preparing the rooftop tent for a compatible side annex. A roof window opens up the view above. Fine-mesh mosquito nets on all openings keep insects outside without unnecessarily restricting ventilation.
Individually adjustable comfort hybrid mattress
The comfort hybrid mattress combines an air chamber with a foam core. Its firmness can be adjusted using air pressure to suit your personal sleeping preferences. An electric air pump with a USB-C charging cable is included. Before first use and after extended compressed storage, the mattress must be fully inflated once using the pump.
A mesh underlay beneath the mattress supports ventilation. Two dimmable 100 cm LED light strips with warm and cool white light provide flexible interior illumination in the evening. Two large shoe bags, storage pockets and a tablet holder help keep personal items organised.
Comfortable access
The detachable black aluminium ladder features non-slip angled steps for easier access. It has a maximum load capacity of 150 kg, comes with a storage bag and extends to approximately 230 cm. A telescopic ladder extending to 260 cm is optionally available for taller vehicles.
Robust materials and weather protection
The tent fabric is made from recycled, PU-coated ripstop polyester with a weight of 320 g/m². The rainfly is made from PU-coated 420D Oxford polyester with UV 50+. The water column is 5,000 mm. The hard shell is made from 6-series aluminium.
Roof rack system on the upper shell
The included pair of roof bars can be continuously repositioned on the upper shell and has a maximum load capacity of 100 kg. Installing it adds approximately 5 kg to the rooftop tent weight. The system load must be considered in the total roof load calculation together with the rooftop tent, ladder, vehicle crossbars and transported equipment.
Mounting on the vehicle
The spacing between the mounting rails on the tent base is approximately 80 cm. A minimum distance of approximately 83.5 cm is required between the plastic feet of the vehicle crossbars across the width of the vehicle roof. Universal mounting and fastening materials for the rooftop tent are included.
Compatible extensions
The CUMARU EASE 135 can optionally be extended with a compatible annex, thermal inner tent or telescopic ladder extending to 260 cm.
