Ultra-flat hard-shell rooftop tent with a generous sleeping area
The CUMARU LIGHT 152 in earthy-yellow is a triangular aluminium hard-shell rooftop tent for up to two people. Its 145 × 210 cm sleeping area combines a comfortable amount of space with a particularly low-profile hard-shell construction. This makes the rooftop tent suitable for journeys where straightforward setup and packing away as well as ample interior space are important.
When closed, the CUMARU LIGHT 152 is only 15.7 cm high. The solid aluminium hard shell protects the folded tent while travelling and does not require an additional fabric cover. The distinctive VICKYWOOD print on the hard shell, the earthy-yellow tent fabric and the black rainfly define the clean design of this version.
Approx. 83 kg excluding the separately transported ladder
The CUMARU LIGHT 152 weighs approximately 83 kg excluding the ladder. The detachable black aluminium ladder is transported separately inside the vehicle while travelling and is therefore not included in the stated rooftop tent weight.
Before installation, check your vehicle’s permitted dynamic roof load as well as the load capacity and suitability of the crossbars used. Two roof bars are recommended for the CUMARU LIGHT. The distance between the mounting rails is approximately 71 cm. At least 75.5 cm is required between the plastic feet of the crossbars.
145 × 210 cm sleeping area for up to two people
The 145 × 210 cm sleeping area accommodates up to two people. When open, the rooftop tent reaches a maximum interior height of 135 cm, providing additional freedom of movement inside.
The exterior dimensions are 225 × 152 cm when open. When closed, the CUMARU LIGHT 152 measures 225 × 152 × 15.7 cm.
Setup with STABILUS gas struts
To set up the tent, first release the two buckles on the hard shell. STABILUS gas struts then assist with opening and raising the rooftop tent. The CUMARU LIGHT can be set up in approximately 2–3 minutes with just a few simple steps.
Packing it away follows the same straightforward triangular principle. As no separate fabric cover needs to be pulled over the closed hard shell, additional steps when packing away the tent are eliminated.
Memory foam mattress and ventilated sleeping surface
A 6 cm memory foam mattress with a water-repellent cover provides the sleeping surface. A mesh underlay beneath the mattress supports ventilation between the mattress and the tent base.
There is no space for bedding inside the closed rooftop tent. It must therefore be removed before folding the tent and stored separately inside the vehicle.
Lighting, mosquito nets and practical storage
Fine-mesh mosquito nets at all openings keep insects outside while allowing the interior to be ventilated. Two dimmable LED lights with a USB connection provide adjustable lighting inside the tent in the evening.
Various compartments and storage pockets help keep smaller items neatly organised and within easy reach. Additional pockets in the roof lining and a transparent tablet holder provide further storage options. Two large shoe bags offer a dedicated place for footwear away from the sleeping area.
Robust materials and confirmed weather protection
The hard shell is made from 6000-series aluminium. The tent base features a particularly lightweight honeycomb construction. The earthy-yellow tent fabric is made from recycled ripstop polyester with a fabric weight of 320 g/m².
The tent fabric has a PU coating and a hydrostatic head of 5,000 mm. The black rainfly is made from PU-coated 600D polyester Oxford fabric, provides UV50+ protection and has a hydrostatic head of 3,000 mm. SBS zips complete the construction.
Expandable with compatible accessories
Separately available accessories allow you to adapt the CUMARU LIGHT 152 to your vehicle and travel plans. Available options include additional crossbars for the hard shell, a compatible awning, an annex, a thermal inner tent and a telescopic ladder extending up to 260 cm.
When selecting the annex, thermal inner tent or other accessories, check that they are explicitly compatible with the CUMARU LIGHT 152.
