More Space With the X-Hinge System
The CUMARU UP 145 in earthy-yellow is a low-profile aluminium hard-shell rooftop tent for up to two people. Its specially developed X-hinge raises the rear section of the tent, creating more headroom and legroom than a conventional triangular construction. This produces an open interior with additional room for sitting, changing clothes and relaxing.
Sleeping Area and Dimensions
The approximately 135 × 205 cm sleeping area accommodates up to two people and reaches a maximum interior height of approximately 130 cm. The rooftop tent measures approximately 225 × 155 cm when open. Its closed dimensions are approximately 225 × 155 × 17 cm without the optional roof bars.
Travel Set-up Weight
The CUMARU UP 145 weighs approximately 77 kg excluding the ladder and approximately 83 kg including the ladder. The telescopic ladder weighs approximately 6 kg, is pulled out of its holder during setup and extends to approximately 230 cm. The actual travel set-up, vehicle crossbars, any fitted roof bars and additional load must be considered when determining the dynamic roof load.
Self-Opening Side Windows
When the tent is opened, more than just the main body rises. The side windows also unfold automatically and require no additional steps. A roof window brings more natural light into the interior, while mosquito nets on all openings support ventilation and keep insects outside.
Individually Adjustable Comfort Hybrid Mattress
The Comfort Hybrid Mattress combines an air chamber with a foam core. By adding or releasing air, you can adjust the firmness to suit your personal preference. An electric air pump is included and allows the mattress to be inflated and deflated in less than one minute.
Mattress Air Pressure Information
The air pressure inside the Comfort Hybrid Mattress must be reduced before closing the rooftop tent. Pressure must also be equalised during high temperatures, direct sunlight, extended periods of non-use or significant changes in altitude. Do not use high-pressure pumps or compressors without a suitable pressure-limiting function.
There is no space provided for bedding inside the closed CUMARU UP 145. Blankets, pillows and sleeping bags must therefore be removed and stored separately before travelling.
Ventilated Mattress Underlay and Practical Equipment
The integrated mesh underlay improves air circulation beneath the mattress and helps reduce moisture and condensation. Two LED lights provide illumination inside the tent after dark. A large shoe bag at the entrance and an organiser in the roof lining provide practical storage options.
Aluminium Hard Shell and Weather-Resistant Materials
The low-profile aluminium hard shell protects the closed rooftop tent while travelling. An aluminium honeycomb floor panel provides a stable base. The earthy-yellow tent fabric is made from 320 g/m² ripstop polyester, is water-repellent and provides UPF50+ protection. Its hydrostatic head is 3,000 mm.
Installation and Additional Carrying Options
At least two suitable crossbars are required for installation on the vehicle. The permitted roof load of the vehicle and the load capacity of the crossbars must be checked before installation.
The roof surface of the CUMARU UP 145 can optionally be combined with roof bars. Two accessory rails also allow suitable equipment such as solar panels, awnings or other accessories to be attached. The weight of fitted components and transported loads must be considered when determining the roof load.
Compatible Accessories
A compatible thermal inner tent is optionally available for lower temperatures. Additional roof bars for the aluminium hard shell and a compatible mounting bracket are also available as accessories.
