The CUMARU LIGHT 127 in earthy-yellow is a triangular hard-shell rooftop tent made from aluminium for two people. Its low-profile construction, gas-strut-assisted setup and comfortable interior equipment create a quickly accessible sleeping space while travelling.
Sleeping Area and Dimensions
The approximately 120 × 210 cm sleeping area provides plenty of space for two people. At its highest point, the rooftop tent reaches an interior height of approximately 135 cm. It measures approximately 225 × 130 cm when open, while its closed dimensions are approximately 225 × 130 × 15.7 cm. The low closed height creates a streamlined profile on the vehicle roof.
Approximately 74 kg Excluding the Ladder
The CUMARU LIGHT 127 weighs approximately 74 kg excluding the ladder. The black hook-on aluminium ladder is approximately 230 cm long, has a maximum load capacity of 150 kg and is transported separately inside the vehicle. Its weight therefore does not remain on the vehicle roof. The weight of the vehicle crossbars must also be considered when determining the dynamic roof load.
Setup in Approximately 2 to 3 Minutes
Two fastening buckles secure the closed hard shell. Once the buckles are released, STABILUS gas struts assist with raising the body. This allows the rooftop tent to be set up or packed away in approximately 2 to 3 minutes. The assisted operation makes opening and closing easier, even at higher mounting positions.
Robust Aluminium Hard Shell
The low-profile hard shell is made from 6-series aluminium and features a VICKYWOOD print. A particularly lightweight honeycomb panel forms the floor base. Additional roof bars can optionally be fitted to the hard shell to create further carrying options.
6 cm Memory Foam Mattress and Mesh Underlay
The 6 cm memory foam mattress with a water-repellent cover provides a comfortable sleeping surface. The mesh underlay included as standard improves air circulation beneath the mattress and helps reduce condensation.
There is no space provided for bedding inside the closed CUMARU LIGHT 127. Blankets, pillows and sleeping bags must therefore be removed and stored separately before travelling.
Recycled Tent Fabric and Weather Protection
The earthy-yellow tent fabric is made from recycled 320 g/m² ripstop polyester with a PU coating and a W/R rating of 5,000 mm. The black rain cover is made from PU-coated 600D Oxford polyester and has a W/R rating of 3,000 mm and UV50+. SBS zips complete the construction.
Lighting, Ventilation and Storage
Dimmable LED lighting with a USB connection provides light inside the tent after dark. Fine-mesh mosquito nets on all openings support ventilation while keeping insects outside. Various compartments and storage pockets, a tablet holder and two large shoe bags provide practical storage options.
Vehicle Installation Information
Two vehicle crossbars are recommended for installation. The distance between the mounting rails is approximately 80.5 cm. A minimum distance of 84 cm is required between the plastic feet of the crossbars. The permitted roof load of the vehicle and the load capacity of the crossbars must be checked before installation.
Compatible Accessories
The CUMARU LIGHT 127 can optionally be expanded with additional roof bars for the hard shell and a telescopic ladder extending up to 260 cm. A compatible annex or sun canopy creates additional sheltered space beside the vehicle. A compatible thermal inner tent is also available for trips in lower temperatures.
