The HAZEL is a hybrid hard-shell rooftop tent for up to two people. It combines the stable triangular design with the open sense of space offered by a pop-up rooftop tent and provides two opening modes and a 270° panoramic view.

Choice of two sleeping areas

Robust, Weatherproof and Pleasantly Lightweight

The durably coated ABS hard shell protects the tent while travelling, whilst the graphene-coated 300D fabric offers a water column rating of 5,000 mm, UV protection and mould resistance. At the same time, the HAZEL 130 starts at approximately 67 kg without ladder, making it comparatively light for a fully-fledged hybrid hard-shell tent.

The front section can be fully unzipped, opening up an impressive 270° panoramic view. Together with the generous openings, this creates a particularly bright and airy sense of space – perfect for relaxed evenings with an unobstructed view of the outdoors. Fine mesh mosquito nets let fresh air in while keeping insects out.

No More Fiddly Fabric Tucking.

Pull it up once, lay it over the fabric – done. The cleverly integrated compression pull automatically draws the tent fabric inwards as you close up and keeps it safely clear of the closing area.

Nothing sticks out, nothing gets caught, and you no longer have to walk around the vehicle several times pushing fabric in by hand. The hard shell closes cleanly, quickly and without any help.

Quick to Open and Comfortable to Close

Two pairs of high-quality STABILUS gas struts assist with opening the hard shell. The Speed-Click mechanism makes for fast unlocking, while the Easy-Lock catch with colour indicator and additional safety pin ensures straightforward, secure locking. The Quick-Pull cord also lets you pull the rear section together conveniently from inside.

Adjust Your Sleeping Comfort Individually

The comfort hybrid mattress combines a foam core with an air chamber. By adding or releasing air, the firmness can be individually adapted to your personal preference. The electric air pump is already included and helps both with inflating and with drawing the air out before folding down.

Quick-Pull Cord – Closing Without Climbing In

Grab hold, give it a short pull – done. Thanks to the cleverly integrated Quick-Pull cord with two leverage points, the HAZEL can be closed effortlessly from inside or conveniently from the front.

The double leverage noticeably reduces the effort required and guides the hard shell down in a controlled manner. There's no need to climb into the tent or stretch – one pull is enough.

The HAZEL is a hybrid hard-shell rooftop tent for up to two people. It combines the stable triangular shape with the open sense of space offered by a pop-up rooftop tent. Depending on the pitch and the amount of space required, you can first open the front section and then raise the rear section of the hard shell as well.

The fully removable front section creates a 270° panoramic view and, together with the large openings, provides plenty of light and ventilation inside. Fine-mesh mosquito nets keep insects outside.

Two sizes for different space requirements

The HAZEL is available in sizes 130 and 155. The HAZEL 130 offers a sleeping area of 110 × 200 cm, while the HAZEL 155 provides a sleeping area of 135 × 200 cm. Both versions accommodate up to two people and reach a maximum interior height of approximately 110 cm.

Version-specific weight with and without the ladder

The HAZEL 130 weighs approximately 67 kg excluding the ladder and approximately 73 kg including the ladder. The HAZEL 155 weighs approximately 77 kg excluding the ladder and approximately 83 kg including the ladder.

Before installation, check your vehicle’s permitted dynamic roof load as well as the load capacity and suitability of the roof bars for the selected version.

Assisted setup with STABILUS gas struts

Two pairs of STABILUS gas struts assist with raising the hard shell. To open the tent, first release the front Speed Click fastener. The front section and, if required, the rear section can then be raised.

When closing the tent, the Easy Lock mechanism with a green and red lever and an additional safety pin secures the rooftop tent. The Quick Pull cord allows the rear section to be conveniently drawn in from inside.

Individually adjustable comfort hybrid mattress

The interior features a comfort hybrid mattress with an air chamber and foam core. By adding or releasing air, you can adjust the firmness to suit your personal sleeping preference.

An electric air pump with a USB-C charging cable is included. It assists with both inflating the air chamber and extracting the air before the rooftop tent is folded.

Lighting and practical organisation

Two 150 cm LED light strips with USB-C connections provide warm-white or cool-white lighting inside. This allows you to adjust the lighting to suit the intended use.

Two shoe bags provide space for footwear away from the sleeping area. The high-quality carry bag can also be used as an organiser and helps keep smaller items of equipment neatly stored.

Bedding cannot remain inside the closed rooftop tent. It must be removed before folding and stored separately inside the vehicle.

Robust construction and weather protection

The hard shell is made from ABS and features a durable coating. The pressure-resistant tent base does not use an aluminium honeycomb construction and is resistant to dents.

The tent fabric and rainfly are made from PU-coated 300D Elastic Silk Fabric with a graphene coating. The material is mould-resistant, provides UV protection and has a hydrostatic head of 5,000 mm. Only two ultra-light supports are required to set up the rainfly.
